Good old BBC

Great station keep it up. What would we do without it?

Great programme choice

They pay their staff too much and as for me I don't pay for a TV licence and never will. I watch the iplayer and ITV's player too.
Money is easy come and easy go, that's it in a nutshell. Their programmes however are first class.

Still up there

the BBC is still up there when it comes to topical programmes and great dramas, but they are up against some stiff opposition against other channels. Still up there with new, exciting and original programmes

Are they on the same plant?

Makes some great programs but on the down side:-

Seem to waste a huge amount of money by sending young active presenters to far away places to be filmed next to/standing on some feature or land mark for a few seconds e.g. Orbit or anything with Brian Cox.

Also while I am at it, they seem to have vast duplication in news, Having TV and Radio reporters and crews both local and national attending the same events.

And as you got me started, the New BBC channels have just diluted the quality and not brought forward better programs. You just have change channels more often to see the same amount of good TV.

Oh and did I mention pompous and full of them themselves

Quality shows,topical coverage and full of unterest

BBC provides interesting science and nature programmes, first rate dramas and rated films. Panel shows like "Pointless" and several interesting antiques shows including the ever popular Antiques Road Show. The news reports are renowned and respected throughout the world for their non-biased reporting.
The one area which which I find totally uninteresting is the soaps like East Enders. Another area of irritation is the repeated "adverts" or trailers of forthcoming programmes.

I hate adverts and poor quality TV and so I like the BBC

I prefer BBC documentaries, comedy and news to any other channel. I hate adverts and the one thing I dislike about the BBC is their insistence that they don't spend increasing time between programmes advertising future programmes, because they do. I also don't like the constant reminders about what is coming up later in the programme, including the weather forecast. Dear BBC when I watch the news I know the weather forecast will follow and there's no need to tell me. These are minor niggles compared to the remaining TV channels. I could write a book about their nonsense.

Not that happy with BBC

I was a big F1 fan and was quite happy when the BBC took the coverage from ITV as i thought great no adverts.
Then the BBC go and give or should i say sell a big chunk of the coverage to SKY which i dont have.
I pay nearly 150 pounds a year to the BBC and i dont get value for money as it is but with them ruining my F1 viewing i couldnt care if it was closed down and i could spend my 150 quid on what i want instead of what im told to!

BBC 4 - what a breakthrough

I think this is the best channel in the world, closely followed by BBC 2, then BBC 1..

But I do think BBC Breakfast is trying to be too much like ITV...where does the news go..... I have started switching to BBC News now

Best TV in the UK

Top quality productions, great website. My only quibble is their naming of NUFC's home ground - it's "St James' Park". Always has been, always will be. The Beeb isn't supposed to provide advertising (remember the brown tape over the logos on the products used in Blue Peter?), so why they're bowing down to the fat man instead of sticking with the name preferred by the license-paying public is beyond me.

Personal opinion but I watch more things on BBC than any other channel, especially like BBC4. Their documentaries and dramas are excellent. Also subscribe to a magazine Lonely Planet published by BBC Worldwide.

Full of bias and not showing both sides of the argument

As a company owned by its viewers thanks to the exhorbitant licence fee it should be the bastion of impartiality unfortunately the opposite is true.
I just wish that the UK government had the guts to make it a commercial station and remove that ridiculous licence requirement.

Balanced and accurate with reports and reporters who know their stuff. No nonsensical "celeb" rubbish on the whole and not too much sport as there is on terrestrial TV.

i have to admit that i am bias against the BBC - i find it disgraceful that i am forced to buy a TV license to bankroll a station that, for many years, has not made anything i want to watch. I only watch sky these days - i admit i watch UK gold, (all the BBC repeats) i pay for that via sky and they show adverts. If i went to asda and paid £150 for my shopping they would not take it from me and put it back on the shelf once i have paid - With so many channels available to watch there should be an "opt out" option for people such as myself who are forced, by law, to "donate" vast sums of hard earned money to keep a company going who gives me nothing.

You've just got to admire the brass neck

of a company that has lectured people about doing bad things like flying and carbon usage for years, regurgitates every pro global warming article with vigour, and then spends fortunes flying, or driving, their presenters from London, Scotland and wherever to Salford. And without a hint of shame. I've not taken them seriously for years because of their bias in every news report. Mind you the web site isn't bad...

Most of the programmes that I watch & enjoy are on BBC 1 or BBC 2, I also enjoy the historical and Arts programmes on BBC4.

The websites are excellent and thr magazines they produced were always excellent.

They advertise all the time, they breach the licensing rules. The side with the criminal Israeli war crime government all the time. If we got rid on this unfair license and forced the BBC into a fair playing field, they just might get better.

The essential source of news, and then there's the iPlayer!

As well as checking on news, weather, etc., I never need to miss a programme on Radio 4 thanks to the fabulous iPlayer.

Unnecessarily restrictive.

Very, very unfair that when residing in Sweden , I am not allowed access to BBC on the internet. Just what harm do you think this will do? Very dog in the manger attitude.
